HASE Solutions is a Deal Mediation & Board Advisory provider based in International Geneva. We help organizations to prevent and navigate disruptions, strengthen leadership, and achieve sustainable mutually acceptable outcomes.

dipl. jur. Jean-Christophe Barth-Coullaré, MBA, is a globally recognised expert at the intersection of public-private partnerships, commercial mediation, and governance — based in International Geneva. He brings over 19 years of in-house private sector experience to every engagement, giving him a rare insider's perspective on the commercial disputes he mediates.
Having sat on the other side of the table, I understand what is truly at stake in a commercial dispute.
Jean-Christophe Barth-Coullaré is an IMI Certified Mediator, accredited by the Swiss Mediation Federation (FSM) and the French-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He served as Co-President of the Swiss Chamber of Commercial Mediation (2017–2020) and as Board Member of the Swiss Mediation Federation / FSM (2019–2025), and is a 2024 Judge Weinstein JAMS Foundation International Fellow. He is Co-Chair of the B2B Mediation Practice Group and an Independent Director at APIA Swiss.
His mediation practice covers international commercial disputes across infrastructure, financial services, trade, joint ventures, and cross-border transactions. He has served as Mediator and Assessor at the ICC International Commercial Mediation Competition, the IBA-VIAC Consensual Dispute Resolution Competition (CDRC) in Vienna, and the inaugural Investor-State Mediation Competition in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
With command of German, French, English, and Spanish — and conversational proficiency in Russian and Brazilian Portuguese — he bridges legal, business, and diplomatic cultures in every engagement.
People-First PPPs are not just a concept — they are a framework for sustainable, equitable infrastructure that serves communities and investors alike.
As the founding Executive Director of WAPPP — the World Association of PPP Units & Professionals, a Geneva-based international NGO — Jean-Christophe has been a driving force in professionalising the PPP field and advancing the UN 2030 Agenda through #NextLevelPPP infrastructure that integrates climate resilience and the Sustainable Development Goals framework.
He is a contributing author to the UN ECE Standard on PPP/Concession Legal Frameworks in Support of the SDGs (2024), a World Bank blog contributor on the evolution of PPPs for development, and co-author of the chapter "The Emergence of People-First Public-Private Partnerships" in the CSEND publication "Making PPPs fit the 2030 Agenda".
His PPP expertise is grounded in over 19 years of in-house private sector experience — in banking, legal affairs, compliance, and complex project management, including roles at Bombardier Transportation on large-scale infrastructure contracts. This operational background, combined with law degrees from Germany, France, and Switzerland and an Executive MBA from ESSEC & Mannheim Business School, gives him a rare insider's perspective that he brings to every governance and dispute avoidance mandate.
Effective negotiation and governance are learnable skills — and the organisations that invest in them are the ones that endure.
Jean-Christophe is a sought-after Senior Lecturer and Skills Trainer, teaching Sales & Contract Negotiation, Mediation, Brand & Business Protection, Governance, and Transformational Leadership at reputable institutions including Glion Institute of Higher Education, Université de Genève, Haute École de Gestion de Genève, Geneva School of Diplomacy, Sciences Po Paris, and Escuela de Derecho PUCP (Lima).
He co-authored the "Early Stage Corporate Governance — A Lever to Success" guide, providing practical tools, legal insights, and tested frameworks tailored to founders and scale-up leaders. His training work spans corporate organisations, law firms, and international institutions across Europe and Latin America.

Deal Mediation & Dispute Resolution
Commercial mediation is a confidential, voluntary, and non-binding process in which a neutral third party facilitates structured dialogue between disputing parties to reach a mutually acceptable resolution. HASE Solutions offers international deal mediation across sectors including infrastructure, financial services, trade, joint ventures, and cross-border commercial disputes. Our structured process prioritises preserving business relationships while achieving durable, cost-effective outcomes — without the delays and expense of litigation.
Every engagement at HASE Solutions is guided by a commitment to neutrality, cultural intelligence, and practical outcomes. We operate at the intersection of law, business, and diplomacy — bringing a holistic perspective to complex disputes and governance challenges.
As an accredited mediator and FSM Board Member, Jean-Christophe Barth-Coullaré maintains strict impartiality, ensuring all parties are heard and respected throughout the process.
With fluency in six languages and deep experience across international trade, banking, infrastructure, and PPP, HASE Solutions navigates the cultural nuances that underlie complex commercial disputes.
All engagements are conducted under strict confidentiality protocols, protecting the reputations and interests of all parties involved.
Our solutions integrate SDG-driven and climate-resilient principles — addressing root causes, building governance structures that endure, and aligning with responsible business conduct.
